Subject: Athenian proxeny decree for Aristonoos of Larissa who is likely to be the Thessalian cavalry leader mentioned by Thucydides (II.22.3).
The fact that the inscription is cut in Ionic script may indicate that the decree was reinscribed early in the fourth century BC.
Date: ca. 431 BC.
